When Heaven Breaks In With a Promise

Scripture Reading: Genesis 3:15; Romans 5:20–21

When humanity fell, heaven didn’t step back—heaven stepped in. In Genesis 3:15, right in the middle of fear, shame, and hiding, God gives the first Christmas promise: “The seed of the woman will crush the serpent’s head.” Before we ever reached for Him, God reached for us.

Romans 5 reminds us that “where sin increased, grace increased all the more.” That’s Advent. Grace rising. Hope advancing. Heaven refusing to leave us broken.

Maybe you’re entering December with stress or disappointment. Remember this: God didn’t wait

for perfect conditions to come close to us. He broke in with a promise when life was at its worst.

Today, breathe deep and rest in this truth—God has always had a plan to redeem, restore, and rebuild your life – even at your worst moments.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You that Your grace always moves toward me first. Break into my life again with Your promise, Your hope, and Your healing. Help me trust that You are redeeming every part of my story. In Jesus Name. Amen.
