DAY 13 — December 13

When Heaven Breaks In Through Silence

Scripture: Luke 1:18–20, 67–69; Psalm 46:10

Zachariah’s silence is not punishment but preparation. God uses nine months to slow him down, soften his heart, and deepen his faith. When his voice returns, he praises—not complains. His first words bless God and bless the next generation.

Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still and know that I am God.” Advent invites us to embrace the quiet. Sometimes heaven breaks in not with noise, but with stillness.

If you’re in a season where words feel stuck or prayers feel slow, trust that God is working beneath the surface. Silence can become sacred when God is in it.

Prayer:

Lord, help me be still before You. Teach me to hear Your voice in the quiet. Transform my silence into deeper trust and greater praise. Amen.
